U8 - U10 Capital Soccer Club Academy

Mission: The Capital Soccer Club is dedicated to developing a premier club soccer program for central Missouri. The mission of the Academy is to offer a fun, challenging environment for participants to learn the necessary skills to develop into top competitive players under the guidance and training of licensed coaches and trainers. The Academy is envisioned as a training and development program to instill the Club’s philosophy of competitive youth soccer.

Focus: The Academy will focus on development and training, with “group” practices and training sessions under the supervision of licensed coaches, trainers and their assistants. The number of participants will be limited to ensure quality training and development. Practices will be held once per week, with a separate voluntary training session, which is offered to all age groups in the Capital Soccer Club.

Participants: For the fall 2009 season, participants will be limited to boys U8, U9 and U10 players and girls U8 and U9. The age groups are as follows:

U8: August 1, 2000 - July 31, 2001
U9: August 1, 1999 - July 31, 2000
U10: August 1, 1998 - July 31, 1999

All participants will be members of the Capital Soccer Club.

Teams: Participants will be placed on teams according to current talent and ability in order to make the teams equal in playing level and to provide the most conducive developmental environment.

Games: Games will be played in the YMCA Modified Recreational League. Schedules will be determined at a later date. Additionally, each team will play in at least one local tournament hosted by the Capital Soccer Club.
